I started my nursing career in 2005 as a certified medical assistant at Cheshire Medical Center in family medicine. There I gained skills in patient care, working with patients in all stages of development. While I enjoyed working with people of all ages I especially enjoyed working with our older patients. It was always a pleasure to welcome them during their visits and chat about what was going on with them and some of them had the best stories and great senses of humor. I continued to become an LPN in 2009 at that time, I decided to expand my horizons and work per diem in an assisted living community. In 2014 I decided I truly enjoyed working in this community and decided to leave CMC and start full-time in geriatrics. I became wound care certified as well as obtaining my RN license. I have learned and grown over the years, wearing many hats. I worked as a floor nurse, MDS coordinator, admissions coordinator, and most recently staff development coordinator. Of all my roles I feel most strongly about staff development. I feel that a staff member succeeds with the proper attention to training and guidance.
I am married to my wonderful husband of 28 years. We have two amazing daughters and two beautiful granddaughters who are the loves of our lives. I enjoy spending time with my family, and friends, reading, and being outside ( as long as the bugs don't bother me too much) I was born in the Bronx so there is still a little bit of city in me, although there were bugs in the city they were not as huge as they are here in NH. I look forward to this next adventure and a learning more about the Summer Hill community and most of all developing new friendships as we grow together.
