I grew up the in Newport New Hampshire the youngest of four. My mother Evelyn a nurse her entire professional career and my father a Lumber mill worker his. I have been in “The Kitchen” since the age of 14 starting as a dishwasher in a small seasonal restaurant in Hillsboro, New Hampshire. After graduating from La Cordon Bleu in Cambridge, Mass I went on to work as chef for the common man family of restaurant for many years.
Eventually, in my 30s transitioning into dietary director for a facility in Vermont and absolutely fell in love! I have two very strong beliefs in this profession, “ Food is medicine and Food is love” I enjoy working one on one with our residents to meet their culinary needs and will do anything I can to make the day better.
When not at work I enjoy spending time with my Wife Kate, family and
friends. I look forward to making many happy memories with Summerhill.
